I am thinking about mounting an in-dash Depth finder (the flush round ones) on my AI. Has anyone done this set up before on their Hobie? I fish out of my Outback (about to change now that My AI has arrived) and find that I usually utilize my FF for depth readings (avoiding the shallows), rather than locating fish. Got me thinking that I would only require an in-dash depth finder for the AI, thus keeping the deck a little less cluttered. I do not have any experience with these. Appreciate any advice/links!! |

In the future, when you change hulls (upgrade?) this will leave a big hole in this hull unless you sell/give the Depth finder with the hull. This will either drop the resale value or increase how much you would need to sell it for, substantially. |

After the convincing it took to allow me to keep the Outback and purchase the AI, I don’t think I’ll ever be allowed to get rid of it. |

Then start cutting! I've always liked the look of the "in dash" compass installs on an AI. Good luck. |

Careful. There is not much room between the dash and mast support. |
