the bungees that attach the tramps to ama/aka have worn out and need to be replaced. any ideas on how to replace them and make it look like the original? the worn out ones are a single piece of bungee with pieces of metal twisted around the ends to make a loop. they must have been put on the tramps first then the ends clamped with a tool of some sort.

i was thinking of just whipping the ends together but what sort of thread would work best with bungee?

thanks for any input.

Google hog rings and hog ring pliers. That's typically what's used to make loops in bungee cord. You can pick them up fairly inexpensively.
