I bought a 2009 AI when it was just a few years old. I used it for sailing & the hull alone for fishing until 6 years ago when I moved. I finally got caught up enough to start using it again & I noticed some cracks on the inside of the hull under the click-n-go where it can’t be welded. I’m told it can only be fixed as a paddle kayak. Before I try for another hull, what is the expected life of a sail? When not in use mine was always stored in its bag in the garage. Can I expect the sail to last many more years or should I look for a newer AI?

I also have a 2009. Mine also has issues, and after chasing down various leaks, I decided to put in a bilge pump. That took care of the leaks. My sail is still in pretty good shape.
If you are talking about cracks in the tubes holding the cam bolts, there is a fix on this forum using loctite adhesive.

Thanks Sailchef. The cracks are definitely under the click-n-go, both sides front and back. Hard to reach and to see while reaching. Not enough room to use the Hobie welder. I will check out the other post.
