Hi all,
Rob from the Netherlands. Jus bought a TI 2019 with spinnaker kit.

Yesterday evening a small maiden voyage.
Have to get to grips with exiting my small dockarea without help. (Turning circle). Is the effect greater when sitting in front or back.

Hope to learn a lot from you all

Hello Rob and welcome aboard.

I seem to have better control from the aft seat, why I don’t know. Perhaps it’s easier to see what’s going on with the sail and the rudder is a little lower in the water, just a guess but I prefer the aft seat most of the time.

Cheers

Nick

When you turn make sure the centerboard is down. It gives the rudder some water leverage to turn against. Also if you have crew, one mirage drive in back wards gives you the ability to reverse. Very helpful in tight spaces.
