I bought a 2014 AI and a 2015 AI. My wife wants to use the 2014 but doesn’t like sitting in water. I need to raise it. Happy wife happy life. Has anyone tried a Jackson Kayak Ergo kit 1.0 (cruise) or 1.1 (coosa) as a replacement for pre 2015 AI? Attwood has discontinued the centric saltwater seat but makes a Tempress ProBax Orthopeadic Seat. It looks too bulky. I do like the orthopeadic idea though. Which Attwood are folks using these days? Does Hobie endorse a replacement seat? Cheers. |

Hi , I'm using this seat from Austin Kayaks https://www.austinkayak.com/products/65 ... ack%20Seat I melted two holes with a soldering iron between the seat base & backrest in the same position as the OEM Hobie seat & fitted the 'twist lock seat adapter kit' part# 81276201. (Two per kit, so each kit does one seat) It fits in position exactly the same as the OEM seat and works great, Ive also removed the drain plugs under the seat. Cheers |

Im using the Jackson Elite seat on mine. The one that many folks add on their Outbacks. Very little modification. |
