hello I read that there is a new taller mast rotator base for the spinnaker kit.
I found a picture that should show the old base and the new base. it it right?
https://scontent-mxp1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.15752-9/32457089_10156352346729784_1125831084286672896_n.png?_nc_cat=0&oh=ac0cceb414f2b97f8968cabd50472e32&oe=5B98112C

But if i look at the videos or I read the installation instructions of the spinnaker kit I cannot see this part.
I can see that the "mast tip rotator" is attached directly to the mast without any other part (base).
where am I wrong? how is this base used? how is the little hole on top of the base used, is there a screw to fix it to the mast?

See this thread... it has images of the base and the topper. We made the base taller to help the topper clear the battens when furling the sail.

Thanx Matt, but what I didnt understand is where and how the base is mounted. This is not shown in the videos I have seens and also in the instructions.
it is bolted to the mast top?

ps. in this recently posted pic i finally see where is the base mounted. it's inserted inside the mast tip rotator. how it is fixed to the mast probably just "plugged" without any bolt

Cprrect. It is a friction fit, with all forces on it being from below, there is no need for any other fixing

The base has a screw that attaches it to the topper.
