Dear Islanders,
I just moved from an AI to a tandem. The AI was a yellow papaya and the tandem is red.
Though the Tandem is newer (2014) that the AI, the red color seems to be "weaker" and to loose brightness much faster than the other colors.
I think it is due to a chemical problem that concerns any kind of red paint, not Hobie's fault. I use the Hobie cover.
Moreover in my hull there are some darker stains near the bow, not very beautiful to see.

I read the post about using the 303 protectant. that doesnt last long.
I wonder if there is anything else and more durable that could improve the brigtness
of the hull and make our boats look more beautiful.

I haven't found anything better than 303. One application seems to last for weeks and really brings the red back to life.

303 remains the best I've found.
