I got my TI about a year ago and my local spot to sail is Marsh Creek State Park. I know there are several TIs and AIs that sail there and thought maybe there would be some interest in organizing a local group of islanders. Nothing terribly formal, but some locals to share ideas, get together at Marsh Creek occasionally or even maybe organize some trips to various areas.

I've created a Facebook Group called "Marsh Creek Hobie Islands". If anyone is interested in connecting please feel free to post here and/or join the FB Group.

Hope to see you on the water!

Sounds great. We are in Bucks County, minutes from Peace Valley Park. But I sailed in Marsh Creek many years ago.
Would be great to have a group sail somewhere/sometime.

Hi Randy! Thanks for responding. I work 10 minutes from Peace Valley Park and have been there several times, but not with the TI. How's the sailing there?

Hopefully more locals will check in and we can get a good group going!

winds are pretty good. Windfinder app for Doylestown airport is a good source for predictions. Lake is on the small side but decent useable area. Very comparable to Marsh Creek. Nockamixon is the best but need good wind to enjoy that spot. Yesterday was great!

Hi, I am located about 10 minutes from Marsh Creek State Park, PA.. I sail my TI there periodically. There are a few TI sailors in the Philly area. I am definitely up for a get together.

Randy (quatroguy) and I are planning a meet up in the day ahead. Marsh Creek is nice but we are also looking at a few other larger bodies of water for a TI meet up: Possible locations include:
- Nockamixon State Park
- Delaware River in Philly (couple of ramp areas north and south of the city for putting a TI in)
- Chesapeake Bay near Annapolis, MD (Sandy Point SP)
- Atlantic Ocean (near Ocean City, NJ)
- Marsh Creek State Park
- Baltimore Harbor
- Hudson River NYC - putting in at Liberty SP

Hi... I wondered if you could give the locations. I've been wondering about the Delaware as a place to sail and couldn't find any public ramps.

Thanks, Andy

Thanks for responding and joining the FB group! I think we met once last year at Marsh Creek. I'd love to join you on one of your trips, thought I don't think I'm up for a surf launch just yet!

Sailing Corson's Inlet NJ to Avalon NJ on Friday Aug 3, 2018. Departing boat ramp in Corson's Inlet ~ 10. Round trip to Avalon and back ~ 25 miles in Atlantic Ocean. Few stops along the way. TI sailors are welcome to join in the fun!
