I have a hobie 16 in Hong Kong and I love fishing.
THis post is about sharing how it looks with the rack to hold a motor tightly on the Hobie 16.
Lets see if someone out there has similar thoughts like I had.
I use some old plywood to build a frame in order to hold a 12V 80AH motor on my 12V 300mah battery. Sorry I didn't edit anything on the video but just putting a video with all the photos with it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYg7Cnm ... e=youtu.beConcept notes:
1. I used only stainless steel bolts and nuts
2. The detachable fixture allows me to install the motor without creating any scratch and damage to the boat.
3. to hold the device tight on the trampoline, I used a 90degree aluminum (angle iron) fix on the rack and sit on the main sheet traveler car.
4. I use the heavy battery as a counter weight to avoid the motor dropping into the water.
5. 5 rubber bands are used to keep the fixture tight without loosing position.
