I have a small hoist meant for a row boat. A couple questions....

1) It has two boards running the length of the hoist. Can I put some boards perpendicular to them and put the AI on those? Seems reasonable, but since I have never even seen a AI there might be something i am overlooking?

2) How much width between uprights do I need to accommodate it with the outriggers in? Is it narrower in the front?

I understand I should take the mast down before using the hoist.

Thanks.
