I am working on a sleep aboard solution. i have tried several tent set ups and i dont like how much deck space i have to give up. I have read most, if not all, of the threads regarding hammocks onboard. The heaviest weight reference i could find was 200lbs in which 1.5" sch 80 pipe was said to flex under the load, though not terribly. That would cause me to believe that under my 260lb load they would flex considerably more. Has anyone heavier come up with a solution? I am thinking of 1.5" aluminum pipe instead of the PVC? Would square be stronger? I have a TIG welder and can make aluminum in any configuration work. The PVC would be much easier but i would hate to land on my butt in the middle of the night because the PVC gave up!!
