Does the 2 year warranty start at date of manufacture or date of original sale?

From the date of original purchase from the dealer..

I purchased a used boat and don't have the original sales receipt. Does Hobie have that information on file or do I need to try and get a copy of the receipt from the original owner?

Having the original would be a big help, otherwise we have to go generally from the date of manufacture.

You may be able to get proof of purchase from the original dealer.
