Im going through the Hobie AI spinnaker install on my AI and it looks to me like improvements can be made to the instructions and the kit. I dont like how the halyard connects to the same pad eye as the main sheet on the rear of the AI. This creates a lot of binding in a small area. Seems to me that it would be better to add a new pad eye futher back towards the rudder exclusively for the halyard. This would also give you a slightly better angle on the backstay. Has anyone here attemped this?

Yes, It would indeed. I've considered the same thing for my TI. It's still on my list of future mods though.
