I've ordered a set of tramps. I note that the weight limit is 200 lbs, is there any way to strengthen this? My weight is about 240, and I'm wondering how I could get over to the Ama, or get in/out from a dock.

I think you are fine as is.

Watch this video, he mentions weight on the tramps.

A haka bench if you're concerned.

I'm heavier than you and not had any problems, although I wouldn't recommend to stand in the middle of a tramp like you might on a bigger Tri - better to share your weight with a hand or two on an aka.

Good Morning Lightweight. :D

I am over 270 and sat on them, lied down on them, and ,stepped on them, even at the dock. I too was concerned about the stated weight limit. Mine are fairly new, and I saw one post where the straps/buckles came off on someone and they replaced them with something stronger. I don't feel the material will give way.

One thing I have considered was to run webbing straps across the length of the tramp. I am also looking at the spine board HAKA.

What is more bothersome to me is that I can sink the ama if I am far out on the tramp.

Good luck.
