I'm Finding that I really like laying on the tramps to balance boat in strong winds ( instead of furling the sail). I am only 125lbs so works really well. Obviously steering from starboard side a bit of a stretch..I've been using my foot! I've seen some discussion about the pros and cons of the hiking stick. Does it collapse ? Is it truly in the way when sailing from port side and how about when sailing from the seat. I don't want to waste my money if people find it unuseable. Thanks for any tips!

The tiller handles are threaded for a 1/4-20 bolt. Install one, and then drill a hole in the paddle blade, and there you have it. I would recommend storing the bolt in the net pocket when not in use, it presents a bit of a hazard left sticking up if you don’t plan to hike out that day.
