Post subject: No springs visible in AKA mounting arms.

So, when I remove the aka arms and peer into the mounting arms (attached to hull) the plastic fasteners show no spring present which I believe is supposed to be there (2017 model) to apply outward pressure on the fastener. Is this a retrofit item, or am I mistaken about this? Thanks for looking.

2017 Model... Upgrades were announced in 2018:
