HAve read countless queries and answers about this and would like an answer from Hobie..My Ti is hard to furl an unfurl an I believe the problem lies in no clearance between furling drum and mast step top cover--I've read it's supposed to be about 4mm. There is no evidence my furling drum has moved....but there is clear evidence of rubbing on mast step cover... I'd lie to correct this before putting boat up for the season ( getting chilly soon here in NH)---I've seen very conflicting answers about the V-brace having any effect on the issue...the pin in bottom of mast hole seems straight and tight-----Matt Miller maybe has an answer for me ??

Maybe add a small bearing washer on top of the pin down inside the receiver? That would effectively raise the mast by that dimension.
