Hello,

I'm new to this forum but I'm curious if I could get some advice as to the value of my 2 Hobie Mirage Adventure Island sailing kayaks (now discontinued by Hobie). They were purchased around 2015 and are in great condition. They are stored indoors when not in use. They have only been lightly used over the years. One is red and the other is yellow. All parts and accessories would be included.

I'm located in Canada but can convert the currency if you're from another country.

Thank you in advance,

Kyle

A 2015 (strait up/down rudder) would be bit different than a pre-2015 (twist-n-stow rudder) so more information please?

I just bought a yellow one and a red one used (October 2022). They are the older style with the twist and stow rudder so will be worth somewhat less than yours. The yellow one was in excellent condition and I paid $1800. The red one was in average condition and I paid $1700. Hope that helps!

Those are pretty reasonable numbers. During the COVID toy panic prices were inflated but they have dropped in the last 6 months. I would say 2 grand is about the max for an early boat, less if it has the twist and stow rudder as this feature degrades sailing performance.

Thank you for the information!

KayakingBob - it is a twist-n-stow rudder.

skimonkey88 - would those prices be in US currency?

I sold a 2012 last year (these had the larger rudder just like all the post 2010's) and with tramps and a trailer trailer got $3900 for it.

Tom Kirkman - how much do you think you would have received without the trailer? Are you in US currency?
