Post subject:  Centerboard replacement on a Tandem Island

The knob broke off of my Tandem Island centerboard. Hobie generously sent me a whole new board, but I can't find any instructions on how to install it. Can you help me?

I took mine out about a year ago, so if I remember correctly....

The board drops out from the bottom of the boat. You first have to take the knob off. You're probably good there, since yours broke off. If you look at the bottom of the boat where the board pivots, there are two Philips head screws that hold a small plate which holds the board in place. Once you remove the screws, the plate will come off, then the board will come out. You have to work at it a bit to clear the handle, but it should come out pretty easy.
