I decided to modify my trailer, needed an easy way to haul the AI and Rhino. The Rhino is used to get around in and as my launch vehicle. I have a Harken Hoister (Model 7806 200lb version) in my garage and on the trailer, I'm now able to handle the loading job by myself. I use the beach wheels to go from garage to trailer, then onto the beach. My first trip with this setup is tomorrow, hope all goes well. Thought I'd share some photo's with the forum.

Quite a project! I hope you don't have to go too far or fast with all that weight up high. Nicely done though.

Hi Bob

I've been carrying the AI that high with the Rhino under it for the last couple of years, only laying on top of the crossbars and tied down. It’s never been a problem so far. The weight difference for the added height is minimal, cradle is all aluminum so not much weight there either.

I had a problem last summer when the boat was suspended upside down from the ceiling, my garage was very hot and the Harkin Hoister straps warped the plastic where the boat was resting on them. Fortunately, the same summer heat enabled me to push out the warped areas. That got me thinking about a better way to store the boat, that’s the reason for the cradle with the Hobie fiberglass storage cradles. Once I had the ceiling setup figured out, I decided to use the same cradle for transporting it on the trailer.

WoW  magnificent effort and I think it looks great.

My question is how do uo tow the AI (if that is what you do) behind the Rhino, have you made a tow bar that straps on some how?

Would love to see it if you have!!!!

I only use the Rhino to shag the trailer around where we camp. I use beach wheels on the beach to move it.
