I already have a fully installed V1 Hobie Evolve motor system on my Outback, when the time comes to replace it, can I just buy a separate new motor Hobie item # 72022130 for $720 and and new V2 battery item # 72022131 for $720 and keep the same throttle and cable hook ups and I am good to go? This way I am only expending $1,440, rather than buying a whole new system for $2,059. This type of technical info is not readily available to me and wanted to hear from those in the know. Thank you in advance, for any information you might have.

I'm not sure about the throttle cable, but the V1 and V2 power cables are NOT interchangeable.

Based on this answer to one of your other posts:

Only V2 are sold now - you can get one and it will work with your motor - you just get a plug adapter, easy.

Looks like the old cable could be adapted to fit - first I have heard of an available adapter.

Take advantage of Torqeedo's battery recall. It essentially updates / upgrades your system.
