I am about to pick up my new 2015 Tandem Island. I am fairly certain that I will purchase the Trailex Single TI trailer to pull it.

I have two places to store the boat and trailer on my property, both of which I have to pass through a gate to access. As such, I am trying to get the actual overall width of the trailer to make sure it will fit through one or both of the gates. The Hobie literature says the Trailex crossbars are 52" wide. However, the photos show that the wheels and fenders are wider than the cross bars.
Thus, what I need is the widest dimension of the trailer. My suspicion is the that either the fenders, or the wheel hubs are the widest point.

Can someone who has a Trailex Single TI trailer please measure this dimension and/or look in their owner's literature to see if there is a dimension listed?

You can reply here in the forum, or email it to me directly at [email protected].

Thanks y'all!

Would be the width of the axle and wheel assembly (bearing buddy to bearing Buddy) according to the catalog photo. I don't have a trailer to measure, but think is about 60"

The crossbar width is 52" (edited ... TI width)

I just measured my 2015 TI Hobie Trailer. Both cross bars are 52" and they look slightly wider than axle. My license plate, which is a mini plate sticks out about 1 in, so on mine it would me max 53".

Same here. 2014 mfg date w Trailex SUT 350 has the outside to outside of the bearing buddies in the same width range as the metal bunk supports and virtually the same as the outside of the fenders at 52 - 53".
