Doesn't seem like they are sold individually.

My agenda is making a beach dolly. I'd just buy Hobie's, but I already have the wheels and they are a big part of the cost.

Seems like somebody in the fora had an extra they would like to sell, but I cannot find the post.

Alternatives? I'm thinking maybe something with bunks - like this: http://palmettokayakfishing.blogspot.co ... build.html, although getting the boat on to that particular cart after sailing would seem problematic.

The idea being to wheel the AI up to my new SUT-450 and have it more-or-less align with the cradles on the SUT-450.

2015+ version? Front and rear cradles are the same.

The single with carpet is 72020424 CRADLE, ADV ISL V2 AFT 2015+ $120 (2-2017 / USA USD$)

Not listed in dealers catalogs, but is available if they ask.

Thanks.... I'll call AustinKayak.

Just to make sure: those cradles are exactly the same as what is used on the Hobie beach dolly, right?

When I slide my existing pre-2015 rear cradle up to the balance point - where I would have it when rolling the boat up/down the beach- it does not quite fit the hull's contours; whereas it fits precisely back at the recommended location for storage on trailer.

OOPS!.... Now that I am reading the catalog entries more carefully, I see that, in some places, there is no such thing as an Adventure Island beach dolly - only Tandem Island - but in other places, the dolly is referred to as "Kayak Dolly/AI/TI Beach Wheels".

I come away from looking at some of the pix thinking that the cradles used on "Kayak Dolly AI/TI...." are shaped quite differently from the "Hobie Adventure Island Cradles" in that the ama supports are much lower on the AI-specific cradle.

Am I about to shoot myself in the foot over this?..... i.e. What cradle would give the best approximation of a fit at the 2015 AI hull's balance point (which is shaped differently from where the hull rests on the trailer/cradle....)..... i.e. is there a dolly-specific cradle or does Hobie just use one of the 2016+ Tandem Island cradles?

Hopefully I am over-thinking this and the short times on the dolly will allow for just about anything to work without harming the hull.

??
