Pulled into the driveway this evening and found that the right-hand leaf spring was fully-compressed (note that the link is horizontal instead of vertical): https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipM ... FRQThPRVJ3 https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipP ... JaRW5TYzBR I had marked the positions of the front/rear spring attachments and they had not changed. (first time out, the fore attachments slid forward, flattening both springs... but then I put an additional stop-nut in front of each and that has not recurred) Figured it must be one of the bolts binding, so I turned the trailer over, loosened every bolt associated with the spring, but it did not snap back. OTOH, I put a screw driver under the rear of the link, pried it up a few degrees, and it snapped back. https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipP ... JaRW5TYzBR Note that the link is not precisely horizontal - more like a few degrees past horizontal. Does anybody have thoughts on this? |

Ken Montgomery (ext 204) is a wealth of knowledge at Trailex. It's the spring shackle that rotated. |
