| Post subject: | Hobie Cart Recommendations |
I was looking at getting this cart to move my AI around. https://www.delawarepaddlesports.com/ho ... g-in-cart/ The ground I would be carting it across is very uneven. I am traversing across gravel, stepping stones and very low landscape timbers. This model looks like a good choice, but I see there are a lot of kayak carts available. Anyone here us the one above? Looking for suggestions. Thanks Gerry |

The AI and TI are a whole new beast when it comes to carts. I use that cart and very happy with it for the hull only. Although I wouldn't use it on different terrain- tough wheels, however very pricy if punctured. The tuff tires would work better on gravel/hard surfaces. I would not recommend the scupper cart with amas installed either. They will rub and it is extremely difficult to remove and place that cart in the scuppers fully rigged. I personally prefer the C-Tug or the Hobie dolly designed for the AI. (I made a DIY version for the AI and have the TI hobies version). Although pricy, the hobie dolly is well made! The c-tug can handle the weight (I put the outriggers on top of the kayak) and is my preferred cart. I wouldn't trust the scupper cart (scuppers) with the added a a weight, however many use it. |

Looking for suggestions. Thanks Gerry It's a pain to use. It looks good on paper, but when you try to lift the whole kayak to plug it and take stuff out to plug in again, it gets old real quick.
