If this is the wrong forum just please tell me where to post this. Maby I am alone in this but I would enjoy sailing with more AIs. Does anyone else have the same desire Is there a desire to get together once a month or so at any given sight in So Cal. I am not thinking about anythig formal just lets get a calender and meet some place at a pre determened place. While have been using my AI in Long Beach / Belmount shores and have the place wired, ditto for Huricane Gulch in San Pedro . I would love to check out mission bay, hodges lake ect. but do not have a clue how to do this optimaly. I am thinking that for each sight picked some one could be the local and post perfered launch site and a loose if you want to do for the day. Having a few boats together would make the logistics of loading and unloading easier. Provide a few people to watch our stuff on the beach. I believe the presence of a fleet at a location could also create a "buzz " about the boats and help generate sales. Mike |

Should include Island fleets at local Hobie Cat regattas (they did this at Dana Point for the 40th regatta - and they had 10+ boats) Glad that you're enjoying your new toy MRL... Have a Hobie Day~ |

Hi, My name is Roderick and I live in Encinitas ( San Diego). I am getting closer to buying a AI and would like to find people I can sail with. One big draw for me is to look for surf spots so if there are others out there that I can sail with let me know even if it is flat water. Roderick www.customglasssigns.com 760 943 9299 |

MRL, I grew up in Huntington and learned to wind surf at Seal. Are you playing in the surf at Ray Bay? What are the rules about beach launching there? Were I live I was told you can Launch the boat but the sail has to be down to do it. Roderick www.customglasssigns.com |

Hey you SC AI guys, I'm over in Phoenix and go to Rocky Point Mexico. It's a great place and has an excellent beach to launch from and very good destinations should you want a destination. We'll be there for a week at the end of the month and again in mid June. There's Hobie dealer there with a couple AI's, he rents Hobie kayaks too. Bob |

It's called Puerto Penasco, 225 miles SSW of Phoenix or 4 hours. We go through Gila Bend AZ, then south to Sonoita MX, then 60 miles in Mexico on highway 8 to Puerto Penasco. There is a new highway under construction from Yuma to Puerto Penasco, I don't think it's finished all the way yet. Puerto Penasco or Rocky Point as we call it is a great place, we have never had a problem and have been going for years. The population is ~ 20,000, it's a shrimping seaport and a major get-away spot for Arizonians. You should find alot of information on Google. This is where we stay, we are on the beach and an easy pull to the waters edge; http://www.thereefrvpark.com/ Bob |

Roderick I do not know about the launching rules at Seal Beach. I normaly launch out of Alamitos Bay. They have an area set up to launch kayaks from; easy beach access, a wash down station, and parking Plus some decent resturants on the water you can peddle up to Mike |
