Welcome aboard BobnDeb. You'll have a great time sailing around Sydney Harbour - something I haven't done yet but look forward to doing so whenever I'm up your way.
Your lucky - there's a very active group that sail there regularly - as well as all my mates up on the Central Coast who join me in exciting adventures (Broughton Island, Jervis Bay and Broken Bay so far)
You want to take a look at this thread and hook up with them sometime.

Look forward to meeting you both sometime...............
Cheers

Welcome BobnDeb,

Hopefully we can catch up for a sail somewhere around Sydney. I'm down in Melbourne for the next week or so (without AI :( ) but after that I'd be keen to get out again.

How long have you had your AI's?

Hey, Sutherland. You'll have to fill us all in on sailing on Botany Bay and Port Hacking. I'm sure you'll be able to get a few takers to come down for a sail.

:D :D Hi again. We got our first AI mid Nov, last year. Loved it so much, we then purchased the hibiscus AI in Feb, this year. We mainly sail around Kogarah Bay and Botany Bay at the moment. We will be doing bigger trips later as we are trying to convert an old trailer to tow the AI's. These areas are great for sailing, can sometimes get a bit busy with all the big boats and the jet ski's and it usually gets quite windy after 12 noon but it's still great. Once we sailed over to La-perouse and had some very nice fish and chips for lunch, then continued sailing around to the airport. There's still a lot to explore here so maybe we can get together in the future for a spin around the bay. We've also Kayaked from Swallow Rock near Gymea all the way up to the Royal Nat, Park and done a stint on the Woronora River near Sutho. 2 excellent spots if the weather is really windy.
Bob and I will look forward to catching up with you all. Cheers Deb.

Hi Deb n Bob. Glad to see you are getting to enjoy the AI's. As you can see from the social events we try to arrange them pretty often but work sometimes gets in the way. So an event usually occurs every 2-3 months. Either up my way, Lake Macquarie or Port Stephens, to down your way or beyond. The Sydney blokes get out a bit more regular but it is a bit hard for us up north to make Sydney as a day trip and to sleep over is difficult.

I got my AI last week and have been sailing it on the North Barnegat Bay in NJ. From smooth water to heavy chop the AI did great. How can I tell being a new owner.... the big smile on my face when I get home!
