We have been contacted by AI/TI buddy Kirk Visscher and he has indicated a willingness to try to help us get on the water there. We are now working on dates.

Now my son and I are in Peru and it appears there is no Island Club here but there is a Hobie dealer entitled Nauti Lima. They do not have AI/TI to rent but we are going down the coast south of Lima to meet them today and find out what if any AI/TI use is going on here. We did see a nice rowing history at La Punta and some Hobie cats and other high performance sailing boats in that relatively protected water. We have not seen much in human powered boat enthusiasm but apparently sea kayaking is growing here so we are hopeful. THe surf community is very well developed. THe coast here has little protection from the ocean swell but we have little time here and have not traveled extensively.

Ray - good to see that you have gotten something worked out with Kirk. Peru sounds like a great spot - I plan to go there someday - I hope you can find some sailing opportunities there. Enjoy your trip.
