First time on the water for the airshow. From what I have heard it can be a real zoo. I will be at the Richmond ramp around eight. Depending on conditions and tides we could grab a little private beach on the SW side of Angel Island. Any and all are welcome.

Sounds like a fun day, but very long. My nephew will also be taking out a TI. Are you sailing out of the Marina Bay Yacht Harbor? I got my mast receiver fixed since our trip to McCovey Cove and the Giants game, hope to be able to keep up with you this trip....

I'm thinking about it also. But I'm thinking about motoring down from benicia,
To see how it is, then sail or motor back for a full day on the water.

If you're launching from a trailer, what are your preferred spots in Sausalito and Baker? Thanks.

This event has over a million people on hand so what ever you do, do it early. I plan on launching out of Marina Bay in Richmond around 9am at the latest. From what I have heard boat ramps will fill up early. The launch in Richmond has tons of parking so I feel safe leaving at 9:00. In Sausalito you can launch from Schoonmaker Marina but need to break down and carry kayak to the beach. Parking here is an issue. . There is a ramp in Sausalito on Turny street. Car-top is the only option there as there is no parking for trailers. You can hand launch from Baker over by the yacht club but expect that area to be swarmed so parking may be an issue there. My goal is a beach south of Point Knox on Angel Island. See you on the water.
