has anyone come across crossed threads on their yaks?
just bought a second hand ai 2010 and after the maiden voyage discovered water in one of the amas.
been on another site 'yakass' and they're right crossed threads on the bung.
i've put some ptfe tape on for now but can anyone suggest a more permanent fix?
i take it the amas should be stored with the bungs out, because when i inspected the other there was obviously pressure inside, (hissing when i undid the bung)

Order a new one? In the meantime you might be able to carefully file off the crossed threads -- will always be a headache though if you're frequently removing it. 8)

a new 1 would cost a fortune and availability over here is none existent,
i'm more inclined to find a smaller bung and reciever and fix it in.

i wish it were the bung mat. it's the threads inside the amas.
the bung should be made of softer material than the yak then this would not have happened..... or the dip sh*t i bought it off shouldn't of crossed threaded it in the first place...
i know THIS is'nt a warranty claim but are you covered buying second hand ?
