has anyone any idea how to repair drain plug threads? as mentioned previously the former owner has crossed threaded a drain plug on 1 of the amas. i've been looking for a new plug assembly hopefully to fix in with sealant with a smaller drain plug in it. any ideas? failing that what size thread is used and i'll try and build up the threads and shape them better with a metal plug. |

The plug is 3/8"-16 You might be able to melt in some plastic and re-cut threads. Worst case... weld shut and move the hole to another location. |

You can seal the original plug and add a small cork stopper or another threaded plug on the deck I'd guess. Pressure or draining issues are both important considerations. |

I just know that it is 3/8 diameter and 16 threads per inch. This is the way the tap should read: 3/8-16 (16 threads per inch is consideded National Coarse) Hope this helps. |
