Good point Roadrunner! We value your principles. I do wish though that someone with a passion for the kayaks would test all changes before they go into production.

BTW-I thought that was a picture of the Hobie tech who signed off on the AI's new handles! :wink:

I suppose I was so 'in awe' of all the new features on the 2011, that I didn't notice the knob omission. Don't really see a problem with using the paddle cleat myself.

The handles are another story. The handle deflects water so well into the cockpit that I quickly realised that my waterproof pants were not as waterproof as I thought.

As long as there is enough stretch left in the bungee to allow the DB to kick up if it hits something. There wasn't on mine initially but I've since replaced it with a longer bungee. Seems to work OK. :)

When I first tried my new Oasis out I think I turned the steering lever to far to the right and it kinda disengaged the steering untill it popped back into place by turning it back to the left. Is there any consequences from turning the steering lever to far to the right?
