Sounds reasonable that this could happen from time to time with the different cooking batches. Because of the materials and process, every hull is unique in some way.
Keep an eye on things to see if the plastic becomes brittle or develops stretch marks.
WD 40 is the cheapest/best coating to renew the deep red color. It's amazing -but it's temporary and the boat may become hard to handle.
Aero 303 is an $$$ but great way to protect plastic between outings. It's good for the sail too.
I'm kind of an expert in this area. My old sail disintegrated and my AI hull was famous for its tan lines.
