I was taking my brand new TI out for some testing in a small harbor and all of a sudden the steering handles (both of them) developed about an inch of slop in control. Steering still works lock to lock, but were there was once a nice tight feel in the steering handle and probably a 60 degree control arc, now I can swing the handle almost 180 degrees. Anyone have any ideas what happened? Btw, The boat wasn't even rigged up, just kayaking with the mirage drive. Thanks |

I suspect a slipped knot or possibly something was hung up upon the initial rigging of the system. You can adjust out the slack at the rudder. |

First two times out with the new rudder my stearing got very sloppy. The third time I tightened it I realized there is a nut under the rudder that the stearing adjustment screws go through and mine was turning. I put a wrench on them when tightening and my problem appears to be solved. I double checked the video and they don't mention the nuts. |

The nut should be in a hex recess, so pliers would not be necessary. Your's spinning in the recess? |
