Hello
i'm "adveneture" user
Some time ago, "adventure island conversion kit" has been buying
i using after upgrade
However, one problem has been identified
while the sailing
some time , i could not control rudder
what is problem?
i was looking for solution about rudder...
i saw website of hobie "Mirage Adventure Island Rudder Update"

I did not received anything about upgrade parts for rudder.

and my "convertion kit"
no have two nuts uising for v-frame (locking)

Hello,

Korea must be an interesting place to sail.

Loss of rudder control may be your sail over powering the rudder. I assume that is the case since the issue is sometimes.
If you have the original rudder please consider installing the larger sailing rudder or you can reduce the amount of sail when rudder control is lost.

For missing parts contact your Hobie dealer they are really helpful.

Do you have the up/down rudder controls that use lines? T handles? If not... you need that upgrade. The rudder down line can be cleated (locked) down. If you have lines... use the cleat to hold the rudder down. Next is the "balanced" rudder as shown in the tech notes:
