Post subject:  How do I repair my sail?

I noticed last Tuesday when I was out on the water that my sail has a 1 1/2" long tear in the clear portion. What is the best way to repair this?

Hobie resells "Tear-Aid". Type A is what you want.

Or any windsurf shop could help you out.

Clear shipping tape will work for a few weeks, but replacing all the clear parts of the sail will probably be needed soon. A local windsurf shop here on Maui does it for me for $100us per AI sail.

A new AI sail lists for $571us, a TI $695us.

Causes seem to be age, sun and then anything that causes creases like during transport (tie downs) or storage.

Yeah, the Tear aid made my tears disappear. Frankly, this adhesive worked for me quiet well. :D
