We have 2011/2012 AIs. Last weekend on Saturday, no issues. We start out the next day and my wife complains of noise and hard steering. I check her boat and it is making a groaning noise that seems to come from the assembly beneath the deck that the steering lever actuates. The next weekend i go out solo on Saturday - no issues. I start out Sunday and now my boat is doing the exact same thing... odd. I can't tell if the steering is harder or if it just seems that way because of the noise. Any ideas? Is there something that need lubricating or adjusting? Thanks in advance |

When it happened to me, it turned out to be the spring in the hull under the handle rotating until it's edge scraped when the tiller turned. I just located it by feel through the center hatch and rotated it and it stopped. Hopefully yours is as simple. |
