Wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

One of my 2015 TI Vantage seats has failed on me. More specifically, the seat is stuck in the fully reclined position. I am unable to encourage the cord to retract so that the seat will return to a more upright position.

Anyone else suffer from this problem? Any suggestions?

Many Thanks,
Brian

There could be an easy fix - or there might be a problem. It's possible for the line to jump the shiv inside the adjuster - easy way to check it to open up the back brace (series of small philips screws) and check what's going on - you'll see what the issue is once opened. Its might be a simple 1 minute job - or there might be a broken part that will require the seat be returned to a dealer

Opened it up shortly after posting this and emailing hobie, couldn't wait for a reply.
Interesting trying to figure out how the thing worked. The large black bungee was looped and clamped on to the stepped adjustment plastic, and one end was loose. Took a minute to figure what was going on, end of bungee had some nicks in it, then a little piece of the metal clamp that held a loop fell out. Realized the loose end of the bungee was looped around something, but what? Figured it was looped around the metal bar in there, got some fishing wire and made a new loop, seems to work.
Had concerns about all the stuff happening in this seat, and seeing the other post about the lumbar thing, I'm wondering if I messed up getting this thing!

Not really, it's a great boat, though I did see a cup or two of water was inside my kayak after my first trip. Now I'm working on figuring where it came from, scuppers? Coming over the back and going through the back hatch?
I'm leaning toward the scuppers. Guy I bought it off of used a scupper wheel cart.
We shall see.
