After many many years of use my 2005 Hobie Outback has just sprung a leak in the drive well area. Attached is a picture of the crack from inside the kayak shaped like a backwards J. Has anyone here ever repaired this type of crack? I have gotten some great advise already but wanted to put this out here to see what others have done. Image

That looks like the plastic wearing thin then finally being push through by the drive rather than the usual stress crack, maybe. If it snot a stress crack then maybe plastic welding may work better than it usually does for stress cracks.

Does it look worn from the topside.?

My 2006 adventure got a bit thin at this point and ended up with a faint similar crack. Have'nt bothered repairing it as I upgraded anyway.
