Has anyone else had the roller reefing/downhaul collar on their TI mast come loose? It now slides up and down a few inches, and I can see where the bond used to be when it slides up. Since that collar is also the downhaul anchor point, I feel that the boat is unsailable now. Any advice would be appreciated, ideally from Hobie support.

We see it happening to someone now and then. Just epoxy it back in place and you should be all set.

Yea we have had a couple of those come loose, just make sure to epoxy back into the correct position, make sure the epoxy you use is marine compatible (5 minute epoxy is not, if it gets wet, it turns white and gives out, (ask me how I know this, lol)). The label usually states if it can be used in wet environments, I didn't read the label.

Do not put a screw or anything in to hold it in place, and be careful not to scratch or cut into the mast itself, the mast itself is really delicate, don't bang or dent it.
