Aloha,

Happened today in Kaneohe Bay Hawaii. Had to pedal back about three miles. Legs tired.

Anyway. What will it cost me to replace?

Anyone know?

Thanks

Can you post pics of the break? Did it occur where the downhaul cleat rivet on the sail contacts the mast surface?

I'd have to look closer, but it seemed to be right below the bottom of the sail.

Blue Blazer,

That's exactly what my mast looked like! I need to find a safer hobby, or should I say Hobie. Sure, I could shell out a grand for a new mast, but will it have the same design flaw?

Thankfully, I wasn't out of the bay.
