I have a standard PFD "cool mesh" PFD that i use. What is everyone else using? I know we have a higher back on the PA seat. My PFD tends to ride up. Any suggestions?

I'm mostly on small lakes, in my Outback, so I use a class 3 Hobie PFD (to which I had to add SOLAS tape) or Stearns with SOLAS tape already on it.

But, I might be getting a Type 1 with SOLAS tape, for choppy water/surf/swells for when I visit the coast.

The second one I bought was the comfort series, it's cooler in Summer, but it rides up too

Hobie's PFD is pretty comfortable, real adjustable, fairly cool, higher backed for kayak seats, but lacks SOLAS tape.

I can say without question the Sterns inflateable has served me well over the past four years year-round. Had to use it once in 2006, it performed flawlessly. The Mustang is also a wise choice. I will be going to a waist inflateable soon, just to switch things up when you want to go light as possible...both Sterns and Mustang sell these.
I had Solas tape sewn on mine, so you can see me from above if you ditch in the water. The Sterns has never been bulky or ever ridden up, it carries a lot of stuff inside along with fishing gear. Love it, and suggest the PFD highly.
