Post subject:  Push pole on the PA?

Anyone using a push pole on the Pro Anger? I think it would be a great tool on the flats. I'm trying to find the best one for the job. I found a 1" x 7' (which will fit thru the scuppers for a stake out) but I think 7' maybe to short. Any thoughts.

How deep's the flat? 7' might be just right for the job. Have you staked out your PA through the scupper hole before? I have heard that the holes are the weakest part of a yak. Let us know how it worked out for you. Thanks

I like that idea of a push pole. I was thinking of that myself.

7' is way too short if you're standing up to pole. Get the longest pole that you can safely transport on your vehicle. The longer the pole is, the faster and more efficient it will be to move around because you'll be able to do 2-3 "hand over hand" pushes before lifting the pole. I recommend a 16' push pole for up to 6' of water.
