on one side of the sail of my pa theirs a plastic hook, can anyone tell me what it,s for. thanks joe

you can roll the sale around the mast - and use the sheet to lock it closed. (refer to the instructions for the kit I believe that is covered in those instructions) There should be a small stopper knot about an inch from the clew of the sale on the sheet - and that knot will hook into that clip that is sewn onto the sail - you can then just put it aside in a paddle holder or on a PA under one or two of the rod holder shock cords.

**Edit - I noticed there actually aren't any references to it in the manual - we'll need to add that info

To illustrate Jbernier's description, it looks something like this (please ignore the missing mainsheet which I snap on and off):

Take a turn or two around the rolled up sail (hook side out) and the knot sits next to the hook to keep the sail furled. Adjust the knot location as necessary:

Now you can carry the sail rolled up and ready to deploy:

Incidentally, many don't realize the knot that comes on your mainsheet actually has a purpose. 8)
