Post subject:  take seat off for transport?

I have been transporting my P.A. right side up, bow first, on the top of my Toyota Yaris. I have been taking the seat off for transport, but I am wondering if it is really necessary. Does anyone transport their P.A. with the seat still on?

Thanks,
Opie

I use a trailer and do leave the seat on. I snap the strap in place. Leave the poles in the storage tubes and strapped in place also. Everything else is either in the truck or inside the kayak.

Thanks everyone,

Sorry, I tried, but adding a picture to a post on this forum is apparently beyond my abilities.

I have to take the seat off on my PA but only because there is an Outback being transported on top of the PA. if I only have the PA I leave the seat on and secured with the provided strap.
