I've been shopping around for a pair of Pro Anglers, and so far the best price I can get is 5% off of retail. Is that about as good as you can expect? I would think that with this economy and considering I'm buying 2 I could get a little better price.

Thats a good deal. Hobie does not allow discounting, most dealers can't keep enough inventory anyways, this economy drive kayak sales, not hurt them. The Hobie products are a great value and worth every penny. See if they will give you a bit more if you pay cash/check to save on the credit card fees.

If you know what accessories (cart, sail, PFD, etc.) you want at the time of purchase, this might be the best time to strike a "package deal". The dealers might have a little more leeway on these items and they can otherwise be more costly. 8)
