What is the best way to store the PA other than stood up on end as the manual states. Thanks in advance for any help. :?:

The manual states up on end as one option... also flat on the ground, on the molded cradles as shown in the catalog and upside down on the top rails always works.

Would long term storage be ok with the cradle set? I am not sure if Hobie intended the cradle set for transport only. Sorry for all the questions, just want to take care of my PA.

Yes, long term on the cradles is likely the best way to store the boat. The cradles conform to the hull shape and support the load over wide areas. This is good.

Matt

Would it be ok to transport my PA on a trailer where it will be sitting flat on its bottom. I have the bottom level of the trailer fully decked in plywood so it would have the majority of the boat itself resting completely flat. There will of course be some overhang off the front and rear of the trailer, but nothing extreme. I am even thinking about using a rubberized mat on the playwood like you would see on the floor of a gym (or something close too it).

Thanks in advance!

The factory says flat on the ground ... or the trailer would be OK. You may see some flattening of rounded surfaces, so some cradles or padding is better.

Got any pics of the cradles? Are they available from Hobie dealers?

Yes, available from dealers. You can see the concept in the catalog as used on the Adventure Island. Page 25 of the current catalog: http://www.hobiecat.com/support/pdfs/kayak_catalog/eKayakCatalog2009_Fall_24-25.pdf
