I swapped the pitot tube from my older Mirage Drive (2005 Outhback) to my new Mirage Drive (2010 PA) and found that it didn't work at all. It was very accurate on my old drive (according to my GPS unit) and I found it very handy for trolling work.

Is there a reason it won't read on the newer Mirage Drives? It installs normally, but no water fills the tube.

Check to see if the drive is drilled in the front allowing water to enter?

I can blow air through it. Just wasn't sure if the hull on the PA was such that the pitot tube didn't work on this model.
