Well I had better luck at Tippy Canoe Bay. I got a 18" trout. I had to fight off the cats and sharks though.
I had 1 bonnet head 18" and a few black tips. The last Black tip was about 4', had him to the boat with a perfect corner mouth hook set then he turned and bit through my leader. Doh!!!!

I had lost 2-3 others biting though the leaders as I did not have any wire with me. Next time for sure.

Oh and one more thing. As I was just turning to head back I saw an older couple and their grandson in a john boat paddling with rowing oars. He bought the boat last week and it is already broke down.
Gave them quite the shock when I said I would tow them back to the dock. The could not get over that I could tow them with my kayak. Hobie Pro-Angler for the win.

It always starts never runs out of gas.
