Good day all,

I am new to the forum and am seriously considering a PA for fishing out of Dana Point California. I plan on launching out of baby beach for anyone familiar with the area.. a couple of questions:

1.) The specs say the boat weighs in at 88 lbs, has anyone rigged a roof/roller system on the Prius?

2.) Has anyone just poked it thru the hatchback? I only have to go 1.5 miles to get to the harbor

Thanks in advance for responding...

Not sure if you found your answer but I had a Yakima rack installed on my 2007 Prius. The roller bar won't clear the back when you Pro Angler is at an angle so you have to load it from the side. The roller bar goes on and removes very easily. Get a set of Mako Saddles. I've loaded mine a couple of times and they can be awkward to load. In fact, mine slipped off the roller bar while I was getting behind to roll it up there and it left a pretty good dent in my back door - be careful. You'll also have to remove radio antenae for transport. Yakima straps work good. I have two Hobie PA's and just invested in the Trailex dual trailer to haul both. Much easier.
